If you live anywhere in the Northeast, then you know that it’s cold right now. Like bone chilling cold. After spending most of Saturday running around Central Park in the snow, slipping and sliding.. and taking quite a few snowballs in the line of fire between Adam and his brother… the weather took a serious turn towards unbearable on Sunday. Which means lots of blankets, cups of tea, and when I MUST outside – layers.

In truth, I’ve been wearing this insanely warm parka a lot lately. But when I do switch it out for something a bit more stylish, I start with a base of heattech undershirts and leggings under anything I’m wearing and pile it on from there. Like a thick sweater (even better in a bright cheery color), a long wool skirt, sturdy ankle boots and my favorite plaid coat that magically seems to tie everything together. And my favorite winter accessory? Hand and toe warmers that I pop inside my mittens and boots when it gets this cold. Even still.. there’s nothing quite as beautiful as this city blanketed in a fresh coat of snow. Stay warm friends!
