There are very few brands that I consider an equal match for my beloved New York. A brand that embodies the American spirit of it, the downtown fervor, the street style cool, the uptown elegance, and the tried and true classic-ness that is this unmatched city. Coach however, is one of them. I’ve loved Coach since high school when it was my first ‘designer’ handbag purchase. In my early twenties, I picked up an appreciation for their heritage and scoured thrift stores until I found the perfect vintage 70s backpack. And in the past few seasons I’ve watched as Coach has injected an altogether modern take on their traditional brand. So when they asked me to take a few pieces from their Spring line on a day through New York, I couldn’t have been more excited to show them the town.

The Mercer Satchel (in cornflower blue) is one of those bags that feels totally ‘Spring 2016’ but will also still feel totally right when I’m carrying it 5 years from now. Coach has a way with that. I love the pastel blue shades mixed with denim and the easy cross body option makes it perfect for when Adam and I run around downtown on the weekends. And speaking of running around.. can we take a moment for these low top sneakers? In case you haven’t heard, a fresh pair of white sneakers are everything right now and these with their baseball glove stitching and navy capped back are giving me serious street style points.
As much as I love the energy of living downtown these days, I still can’t help but want to head back uptown once in awhile to take in the infinitely chic streets of the Upper East Side, the beauty of Central Park and the ladylike looks that are perfectly at home above 59th street.

This bag on my arm makes me feel instantly pulled together. Like I’ve got life in New York (and life in general) all figured out. I think the secret is that I can carry all my necessities inside (makeup, eyeglasses, wallet, chargers, hairbrush…) while still looking perfectly polished from the outside. A good match for those ladies who lunch.
A special thanks to Coach for sponsoring this post. As always – the words and opinions are very much my own.
I’m loving both these looks!! That blue color is so pretty and versatile.
