CENTRAL PARK: BLIZZARD OF 2016

Winter Style in Central Park: Cardigan and Joules Boots

Helloooo snow. After hiding out in the apartment for most of Saturday while a record-setting blizzard swept through the city, we woke up early on Sunday morning to go exploring. While well over 2 feet of snow blanketing the streets looked pretty incredible, Central Park was something different altogether. It was pure Winter magic.

SHOP THE STORY

Kids out sledding on every hill, Loeb’s Boathouse sitting picturesquely in front of a frozen lake, and Bow Bridge (last seen in this Fall post) covered in fresh powder. I dressed for warmth and trudging through mounds of snow at every street crossing that measures nearly past my knees. Which meant lots of layers (a fisherman’s cardigan and quilted vest do wonders) and these boots (that are thankfully big enough at the foot to allow for 3 pairs of socks and foot warmers).

Pom Hat | Striped Tee | Quilted Vest | Urban Outfitters Fisherman’s Cardigan – now on sale! | Talbots Jeans c/o | F21 Denim Coat – similar via ASOS | Joules Wellies c/o | Westward Leaning Sunglasses via Ditto (use code STEELEMAIDEN to try out a free month of endless eyewear)
