The fact that I’m still sporting bare legs in mid December is a fact that I’m not letting go uncelebrated. Because colder days will eventually come (and so will Monday again) so you gotta make the most of it while you can right?

I’ve been wearing a lot of bright reds, holiday sparkle and festive plaid lately (as clearly evidenced here) – so it felt like a nice break to go with clean neutrals and cozy winter textures. This turtleneck sweater has gotten so much wear this Fall and (mild) Winter so far, that it’s a become a regular weekday pick. While it provides a nice backdrop to more statement pieces (like a bright red coat – shown here), it’s also just as good with a lightweight cashmere scarf, speckled woven skirt and beige hat and boots. Forecast is calling for 60+ degrees all weekend in New York and a strong chance of more outfits like this.
