A couple weekend’s ago Adam and I spent the day exploring South Street Seaport. It’s one of those areas of the city that I still don’t know all that well so every visit seems to allow for finding completely new (and completely charming) spots.

Whether it’s my life or my wardrobe, I’ve felt more compelled than ever to edit out the mediocre and save room only for what feels truly important.

I wore this outfit when I got back to the city Sunday evening after a couple of relaxing days at the lake. I always find myself feeling a bit nautically inclined when I’m there, and so this is my city take on that vibe.

When Adam and I set out on Sunday for a walk through Central Park, we were headed somewhere different entirely (in search of Bow Bridge to be exact). But as a shortcut we decided to pass by the Bethesda Fountain and Terrace. And suddenly, we took one look at the beautiful mosaics and grand archways and another look at my outfit – printed palazzo pants and tassel accessories – and stopped in our tracks.
