Seasonally speaking, I’m not sure there is anything more beautiful than Fall in the Northeast. New York is just starting to turn it’s leaves, but on a quick overnight trip to the lake house in the Poconos this weekend – Adam and I got to really surround ourselves with foliage. And it just never loses it’s magic for me. Since it was already pretty chilly in the mountains, I layered up – starting with this plaid poncho.

If this little Mod dotted dress doesn’t say Fall I don’t know what does. The Seventies are huge this season, but I can never resist a bit of a Sixties reference (RIP Mad Men…). I wore this look to the office earlier this week but it would work just as well for a cocktail with the girls or a lunch date.

Day dates, wearing layers, fresh flowers, crisp air… I could go on and on about the reasons I’m excited that it’s officially Fall. Full length denim overalls (you know, the kind you wore if you were a 90s kid) continue to be a trend this Fall.. but I’ve got to be honest, I’m just not sure I can pull them off. So until I decide to give it a go, this more minimal black version hints at the trend without going overboard.
