By this point, if nothing else, you should know that I love a good blue/white color combo and I also love a good wall. This past Sunday afternoon I happened into both and was a very happy little lady.

Mark your calendars – Mother’s Day is Sunday May 8th. And besides a phone call to tell her you love her (or if possible an in-person hug) – it’s nice to pick up a little something special that says ‘thanks Mom’. When it comes to finding a Mother’s Day gift, I think you can go one of two ways. Either something completely practical (a classic leather carryall tote or the most perfectly flattering light coral lipstick) that she’ll use constantly orrrr something completely frivolous that she wouldn’t normally buy for herself (a luxe perfume set or whimsical candle holders) that will be sure to put a smile on her face. I’ve rounded up a little bit of both.

This city is in a glorious state of bloom right now (aka my allergies worst nightmare.. but I digress) and a floral dress feels especially fitting.

If you follow me on Instagram then you already know that a lot of my day to day looks don’t always make it all the way to the blog – so I thought I’d share a few recent Spring looks from social that feature pieces I’ve had on repeat lately. From weekends to casual work days I’ve been living in easy stripes (like this linen drawstring dress – under $40!), denim pieces in new silhouettes (like flares and a chambray trapeze top) and wear with everything accessories (like white sneakers, a navy satchel and pretty pearl bracelet).
p.s. In case you’re ever curious about where I got something that you spied on my Instagram page – you can always find links to items here.

This weekend Adam and I were back home in Pennsylvania for my cousin’s bridal shower and to spend time with family. Which would have been lovely on it’s own – but add to it the first weekend of near 70 degree weather and it was pretty much perfect. I packed my favorite new wide brim straw boater hat and easy white eyelet skirt – both of which ended up being just the thing for a casual Sunday afternoon among the wildflowers.
