Paris, 1967 meets New York, 2017. If you guys have been following along for any length of time than you know that the1960’s are my all time favorite era to reference for style inspiration. So when I’m really going for it fashion-wise (and not in my more typical jeans and tee), I usually do a take on that and love looking at style from cities like London and Paris especially during that time. Lucky for me, 60s and 70s references are everywhere for Fall.
SHOP THE STORY
It all started when I found this vintage macramé and wood handled bag on Etsy (there’s another one that’s really similar still available here). I’m calling it right now – this is the Fall equivalent of Summer’s ‘straw bag’ craze. I’m starting it. Get on board, okay?
And then came the leopard mini skirt. And then these sock booties from my friends at Donald J. Pliner (so so comfortable). If you’re wondering what sock booties are – prepare to fall in love. A big trend in shoes this season, they’re elastic so they don’t have side zippers and fit snug to your legs. I love the wooden, rounded block heels on this pair.
After that it was just my favorite white t-shirt, a classic trench coat and bonjour Fashion Week! And can we talk about my hair for a second? I stopped by the R&Co Hair lounge and the girls there gave me big 60s-inspired curls (this dry shampoo is the secret). So good the volume kept for 2 days straight. Stay tuned – I’ve got a lot of good things coming up this week!
