While I’m all for a bold floral print or a peppy stripe – there’s something kind of beautifully simple about a monochrome look. Even more so if it’s white on white.

When I find myself wearing solid colors, it’s nice to play with texture and this subtle mix of checked eyelet on the skirt (last seen here) and cotton lace on the top makes the look feel a little more special. Would be great for a Spring day date, Bride’s to be (say a casual shower or even something to pack for the honeymoon) or if you are like me and just ecstatic that it feels like spring.. then a day at the office. I can’t tell you how refreshing it felt to ditch the black and navy sweaters I was stuck in last week.
