I’ll be the first to admit, winter style is not exactly my favorite thing. But since we’re really just now getting in to it and spring still seems ages away, I’ve resolved to try my best to come up with practical yet fun/interesting/stylish options to share with you all. The first being this suede skirt and teddy coat combo.

I like that there’s a lot of texture going on here between the tweed bag, knit sweater, fuzzy coat and soft suede skirt – but that everything feels simple and wearable since it’s really neutral. This suede skirt is new in to The Steele Maiden closet and I think it will end up getting a lot of wear. I’ll definitely be taking it to the office, but on this particular day I wore it for a late afternoon movie date with Adam. We saw Jackie – the biopic about Jackie Kennedy starring Natalie Portman. Her performance, the clothes, the music.. all of it was damn near perfect. Highly recommend. Same with this skirt. More Jackie O than Jackie Kennedy.. but a great piece for mixing up your winter style nonetheless.
