I’m all for the fact that denim skirts have made a valiant return to fashion in the past couple of years. I admittedly already own 2 knee length button front versions, but when I saw this zip front miniskirt version I figured it was just different enough to justify the purchase. And since you can never go wrong with a ‘jeans and tee’ kind of look – I added this white t-shirt with bell sleeves. P.S. I’m calling it now.. dramatic sleeves are the new ‘off the shoulder’ for this Fall.
SHOP THE STORY
And while the jeans and tee combo may not be exactly new.. one thing you may have noticed that’s new is my hair! I headed to the refreshingly eco-friendly Ion Studio in Soho last week and put my tresses in the hands of stylist Sarah Rappolt. One hour later and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the way it turned out. The inspiration was Brigitte Bardot meets cool Beach Boys-era surfer girl with a blunt cut and long, eye-grazing bangs. If you’re in need of your own cut – head straight to Sarah, mention my blog and you’ll get $20 off your first appointment. I like that it has a slightly undone 60’s vibe and that (because the snooze button is my life) it’s still a breeze to style. Fresh cut, fresh week. Let’s do this.
