Between being sick on and off for the past couple of weeks (stomach bug meets terrible cold.. ugh) and the insane temps this past weekend – I’ve been a bit of a Fashion Week dropout this go around. Sometimes your body just screams at you to rest, and you’ve got no choice but to listen. When I did go out it was briefly, and I dressed warmly and comfortably with a small side of style.
SHOP THE STORY
Although, if we’re talking physical size of this coat and the legs on my jeans – than I guess it was pretty large. I’ve been itching to get my legs into a pair of high waisted, bell bottoms for awhile now and these didn’t disappoint. While they were a little intimidating at first, once you give in to the seventies swing of them – they create a legs for days effect that can’t be denied. I balanced it with an equally oversized teddy bear coat, matching ivory mock-neck sweater and this convertible bag (can be worn cross-body, as a shoulder bag or a clutch) in my favorite shade of serendipity blue. Also – can we talk about this cool loop knot hair that R+Co (one of my favorite hair product brands for awhile now) did for me at the Shopstyle event? It took less than 5 minutes (part in the center, pull back and twist until your hair starts to curl into a bun, then pin with bobby pins, but leave out an inch or two of the straightened ends) and is way cooler than your average ponytail. Okay okay, so maybe I did Fashion Week a little bit.

Flashback: Trip to Daytona Beach in 1972 wearing these jeans but low waist and wide leather brown belt with yellow T shirt. However, my long blonde hair was NOT in such a cute loop knot 😉
I’m kind of loving those jeans!! Great look 🙂
