CUTE ACTIVEWEAR WITH AERIE

The Steele Maiden: New Year Workout Routine + Cute Activewear with Aerie

How are those New Year’s resolutions going friends? While I don’t really subscribe to the whole crash diet starting January 1st mindset, I love using a new year as a chance to raise the bar for myself when it comes to my usual routine. This time it’s another half marathon in the spring. Gulp. But as always in life, a cute outfit doesn’t hurt the efforts.

SHOP THE STORY

What’s funny is that up until about a year ago I was defiantly against “cute” workout wear. I ran in simple black leggings, old free t-shirts and the exact same pair of running sneakers for like 5 years straight (Actually I still do run in those sneakers and I’m on the 3rd generation of that exact same pair right now). But then, I tried it. Just a cute pair of leggings here, a sporty top there. And you know what? I get it now. Why everyone raves over good quality, cute activewear.Take these lace-up wine-hued leggings and lightweight lace-up sweatshirt for example. They perform just as well as that ratty old hoodie and leggings. But somehow they give me an extra little pep in my step. And with a potential half marathon training on the horizon.. I’ll take every bit of pep I can get.
