SUMMER STYLE WITH NYDJ: #FITTOBE CAREFREE

I know that around these parts I’ve started to mention Fall fashion.. but IRL (in real life) I’m savoring every last second of Summer. That includes after dinner trips to the neighborhood’s best ice cream shops, outdoor movies in the park, spontaneous day trips on the weekends and as many visits to the lake house as we can possibly squeeze in. With that in mind – I need clothing that is #FitToBe as carefree as I am at the end of the summer season. Enter NYDJ. I took a few of my favorite pieces from the brand along with me for a Friday evening in New York, Saturday picnic by the water and Sunday evening dock date (aka I ran them through the ringer) and here’s how it went…

The weather has been making it decidedly difficult for me to incorporate spring styles. Basically a flash of ankle is all I’ve been able to manage these past couple of days. Lucky for me, these bold cropped trousers and gingham flats make that sliver of ankle way more exciting.

SUMMER WHITES FOR A LAKE GETAWAY

I grew up a few hours from the Poconos Mountains and had always gone in winter to ski, but had never visited during the Summer until meeting Adam. His family has a cabin on Lake Wallenpaupack there and we are lucky enough to spend plenty of Summer weekends there now. For those in the New York area, it’s just a 2+ hour drive (car or bus are the easiest ways to get there) and a blissful escape from the city.
