Aside from the occasional bridesmaid dress, I have attended countless weddings in some form of the same dress for the past 10 years. Just above the knee, nipped in waist and finished with a frill or a flounce or a floral for effect. And honestly, I love those dresses (this one especially). They’re flattering, classic and work well for dancing. But with 5 weddings on the docket this summer I was craving something different. Something that made an entrance, you know? Well, I found it.

After layering this dress to wear it as both a skirt and a top – I knew for the ‘Big Day’ I wanted to let it shine on it’s own. And seriously, the thing shines. I felt like a modern-day mermaid. Nothing more than side swept hair, statement earrings, a metallic clutch and nude heels and I can tell you I am ready for the whole ‘I do’, cut the cake, dance floor, late night lobby party shebang.
