I’ve been talking this week about what I pack and how I dress for a weekend city getaway, and while I’m all for practicality – I can never resist getting a little dressed up for a night out on the (new) town.

After layering this dress to wear it as both a skirt and a top – I knew for the ‘Big Day’ I wanted to let it shine on it’s own. And seriously, the thing shines. I felt like a modern-day mermaid. Nothing more than side swept hair, statement earrings, a metallic clutch and nude heels and I can tell you I am ready for the whole ‘I do’, cut the cake, dance floor, late night lobby party shebang. I knew that once I picked up this white denim jacket there would be no turning back. And especially now that the weather is nothing short of glorious, I’m more than ready to swap out all my darker colors in favor of bright whites.
