While I can’t wait for this week’s big meal, spending time with family & friends and having a few extra days off work – I’ll be the first to say I’m not looking forward to the holiday travel. I’ve taken trains, buses, cars and planes to get home on various holidays and it’s never without stress. Which is precisely why I wanted to add a dose of glamour back to the task. This week has been a blur. Between feeling a bit under the weather in the beginning of the week and New York being under the weather in the middle of the week, it’s been hard to catch a break. So this little moment of sunshine yesterday – not to mention a new dress – felt like a much needed recharge.

On Saturday as we drove back to the city from the lake house there was a moment at a stoplight in which Adam and I looked at each other and we realized we were smack dab in the middle of the most picturesque small town… and since Adam is always scouting his next picture and I’m always chasing cute stoops/houses this place was pretty much a Fall dream. So promptly, the car was pulled over and we went for a wander.
