If we’re being honest, this cold, blustery weather has me in some kind of mood. But if I’m looking for a silver lining – I found it on Saturday when Adam and I had an all but deserted South Street Seaport to ourselves and I took this white on white nautical-inspired look.

The first day we arrived in Miami I quickly threw on this off the shoulder top, perforated midi skirt, heeled sandals and metallic clutch and we ran out the door to explore our neighborhood and hit up happy hour.

When you’re knee deep in the middle of the work week (not to mention that Adam and I are busy prepping to head out on a little adventure this week.. my favorite kind of busy), I always find myself reaching for the most classic items in my closet. The kind of things you can grab and go without spending more than 5 minutes thinking it over.

If I had to make a list of my essential Spring pieces, a pair of neutral suede ankle boots would be pretty near the top. The weather is warm enough that I’ve been walking everywhere, but still cool enough that sandals aren’t really an option. So booties it is. And there’s barely an item in my closet that isn’t a match.
