I’ve talked about it before but one of my major goals over these past few years has been to focus more on quality, classic wardrobe items that really stay true to my personal aesthetic. A slightly nautical style is one I always gravitate towards, especially in summer (but give me an oversized fisherman sweater and dark denim come fall and I’ll be quite content). You want to look put together enough for meetings at the office, brunch downtown, rooftop drinks and the general level of chic that this city demands (and deserves).. but at the same time. It’s hot. Like 100% humidity, elbow to elbow with sweaty strangers enduring a subway train breeze, radiating from the pavement you stand on… hot.
