To me, having fun means you’re not trying too hard and just living in the moment. Fun is carefree and easy and doesn’t complicate things. It’s wearing a show-stopping pair of shoes out to get $6 dumplings in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.. just for the hell of it. I like fun. So when Donald J Pliner asked me to be a part of their Spring campaign – aptly titled #ArtofFun – I certainly didn’t have to overthink it.

I swear this has been the weirdest ‘winter’ I can remember (and that includes the 2 we spent living in Los Angeles – because at least that weather was consistent). Sunday was warm enough for bare legs again, but because it’s still in that iffy in between seasons grey area, I’ve been sticking to mainly neutrals.

The fact that I’m still sporting bare legs in mid December is a fact that I’m not letting go uncelebrated. Because colder days will eventually come (and so will Monday again) so you gotta make the most of it while you can right?

If I had to make a list of my essential Spring pieces, a pair of neutral suede ankle boots would be pretty near the top. The weather is warm enough that I’ve been walking everywhere, but still cool enough that sandals aren’t really an option. So booties it is. And there’s barely an item in my closet that isn’t a match.
