Is it just me or are Fall shoes the absolute best? Rich suede boots, fun little flats and the most decadent heels – I’ll take them all over sandals any day. As we speak I’m trying desperately to cram every last pair in my suitcase (did I mention Adam and I are headed off on a big trip Thursday night? The Steele Maiden: Sebago Shoes at the Lake

While life in the city typically means heels on the go, life at the lake calls for shoes that feel more laid back and comfortable. Shoes that I can kick my feet up in or toss off into the boat. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want them to still be cute. Which is wear Sebago comes in. I actually first wore the brand last summer at the lake (in this post) and fell in love with their easy going attitude and comfy fit. So this summer, I knew I wanted to stock my lake wardrobe with a few more pairs. Here – exactly where my Sebagos take me when I escape the city hustle for some peace and quiet by the lake.

NYFW DAY 1: SEVENTIES INSPIRED STYLE

The Steele Maiden: NYFW Street Style - Suede dress, Metallic Tassel Loafers and Olive Green Satchel

When it comes to New York Fashion Week (NYFW) – they say ‘go big or go home’. And while I still always want to feel like myself (especially as I’m meeting new brands/bloggers and representing my own brand), I definitely like to be bolder than the other 50 weeks of the year. For me – that means picking a few of the season’s biggest trends and really playing them up. On my first day of shows/events I went for a ‘Seventies inspired flight attendant’ vibe featuring this suede dress, structured handbag and metallic tassel loafers.
