Whether you have a fancy Thanksgiving dinner with family, a corporate Christmas party or an annual trip to see the Nutcracker – I find myself in need of at least one classic holiday style each year. One that’s less sequin mini dress and more polished midi skirt. This year I wanted to think beyond your typical red and green and went with a ‘winter whites’ inspired look with hints of navy and festive gold. Yesterday I launched part one of my ‘Complete Guide to the Holidays‘ which featured style inspiration & gifting ideas for the season ahead – and over the next couple of weeks I’ll be showing you the expanded posts and closer looks at some of those featured looks. Of everything we shot for the guide this feature on ‘His and Hers Holiday Style’ was by far my favorite. I’m lucky enough to always have Adam’s partnership behind the scenes/lense (that guide never would have launched on time had it not been for his tireless support) – but it was such a treat to have him with me in front of the camera as well. And in a classic ’54 chevy? All the better.

WINE-HUED: BURGUNDY SWEATER AND LACE SKIRT

I know, I know – you’re still in full out pumpkin picking mode. But to me, the holiday season starts post-Halloween next week. One of the things I’m trying my best to do is really savor each season instead of getting so caught up in my hectic work/blog/life’s schedule that they just pass me right by. And so this year, I’m planning on sharing a slew of fun new holiday content in plenty of time for you to see it, shop it or share it. No last minute scramble for what to wear to that office party or get your dad for Christmas. With that in mind, I’m easing into holiday style for this head to toe wine-hued look.

If you’ve been stopping by lately (and thanks if that’s the case!) then you already know that I’m wayyyy into the holiday spirit. Christmas records on repeat, fresh wreath making, tree trimming.. all of it. And outfits are no exception (this one is great for your office party and this one is a standout for a holiday dinner party). This one was the most thrown together but may be one of my favorites – because it balances the fine line between comfy and casual and dressed up glitz.
