It’s officially the season for boots. A no brainer with a pair of jeans and just as easy with a dress – I love the versatility of a great pair of boots this time of year. I’ve been wearing the two black pairs in row 2 (lug sole and patent pointy toe) for several years now and I just got the middle pair in the top row and am SO excited to break them out.
While some of these are a bigger investment – I really believe in putting a bit of money into a great pair of boots or two that you know you’ll wear constantly and will hold up for years to come. I own about half of the pairs shown here and can personally vouch for the quality and comfort – and the others are all from brands that I really trust and love.
While I like to think I’m a pretty good gift giver – I’ll be the first to admit that the men on my list always feel the hardest to shop for. So this year I’m starting early – making a game plan and nailing it. And of course, sharing with you all what’s on my list! Below a gift for every special guy in your life. For your dapper Grandpa, a cozy plaid scarf. For your outdoorsy Dad, a great pair of leather boots. And for your music-loving brother, a waterproof speaker for singing in the shower. And pretty much everyone needs one of these carry-on cocktail kits in their stocking for the next long flight. No matter who’s on your list, I’ve got you covered below (you can also hover over the image above and click on the plus mark to take you directly to that item’s page). Happy shopping and happier holidays!

By the time we reached Amsterdam in our travels (catch up on the rest with my guides to Copenhagen and Prague), I had exhausted most of what was in my suitcase. So I reached for the classics. These black, distressed skinny jeans were worn constantly, both for flights and long days of walking around and this navy coat is so good it made the spot as my only coat for the trip (with heavyweight items I try to pick an option that can be dressed up or down and matches with everything – this one covers all those bases).
