One of the things I love about traveling (and there are many) is getting to dress a little bit differently. While I always want to feel comfortable and like myself, whenever I visit a new place I try and adopt a bit of their unique style into my own.
This past weekend, Adam and I took a quick trip up to Boston to explore another city, work on an exciting project (launching this Summer!) and visit with some friends. Since it was a short but sweet trip, I packed only the essentials seen above (in this chic woven weekender bag). But truth be told, even if I had spent 3 or 4 days I wouldn’t have packed much more. By sticking to classic silhouettes, a similar color palette and just a couple of statement accessories you can easily mix and match for anything from sight-seeing to dinner and drinks. Where’s everyone headed for Memorial Day weekend? Not that I’m counting the days until Friday or anything…
After a few days spent in head-turning sequins, blending into my surroundings didn’t seem so bad. I got this lace cutout sweatshirt last Spring and it’s great for days when you want to be presentable but secretly super comfortable. Same goes for a pair of tailored shorts. And then in the ultimate minimal, finishing touch – these architectural black and white mules. Like little skyscrapers you can wear.
So far this week we’ve tackled Bridal Shower attire, Rehearsal Dinner-wear and finally today.. what to wear for the actual wedding! Oh, and did I mention I’ve been wearing a single stunning dress? After years of spending my Summer budget on wedding season dresses, I teamed up with French Connection to show you how just a single statement dress can be styled for every event you’re invited to.. and even better… you’ve got a chance to win this dress for yourself below!
After layering this dress to wear it as both a skirt and a top – I knew for the ‘Big Day’ I wanted to let it shine on it’s own. And seriously, the thing shines. I felt like a modern-day mermaid. Nothing more than side swept hair, statement earrings, a metallic clutch and nude heels and I can tell you I am ready for the whole ‘I do’, cut the cake, dance floor, late night lobby party shebang. Would love to hear which was your favorite wedding season look this week!
We’re in the full swing of wedding season (showers, bachelorette parties, the big day..) and in efforts to avoid my usual trap of buying wayyy too many different dresses, I’m taking a different approach this year. I teamed up with one of my favorite brands, French Connection, this week to show you how just one dress can get you through it all. Yesterday, I took it to a Bridal Shower, and today? We’re talking Rehearsal Dinner-wear. Better still? You can win this sequin showstopper for yourself! ENTER HERE.
