5 MINUTE ESCAPE

The Steele Maiden: Lake Lovatnet, Stryn NorwayAfter a relaxing long weekend, this image is exactly where my head’s at. I spent most of my time off here in the city, which allowed me to do some exploring. And since it’s finallyyyy feeling a bit like Spring, some window shopping too. Can you blame me? FESTIVAL SEASON-INSPIRED STYLE

The Steele Maiden: Festival Season Inspired style in Cat Footwear Suede Ankle Boots, LOFT embroidered shirt, denim jacket and knit midi dressMy personal style varies slightly from day to day, but it’s never exactly what I would describe as bohemian. But with SXSW, Coachella and a slew of other music festivals this Summer – I thought I’d take a bit of inspiration from Festival Season and give it my own, more classic twist.

VISTOR’S GUIDE TO NYC MUSEUMS

The Steele Maiden: Visitor's Guide to NYC MuseumsOne of the things I love most about living in New York is that access to some of the world’s best art and culture is just a subway ride away. But for those who live here – it’s often taken for granted. And for those from out of town – it can often be overwhelming. EASTER DRESSES UNDER $100

The Steele Maiden: Easter Dresses under $100For me, it always really feels like Spring once Easter is here. Tulips on every corner, pastel candies in every shop and – probably most excitedly – Spring dresses to be worn. The weather is having a hard time making the turn here in New York, but I’m a firm believer in the power of a great dress. So perhaps one of the above, will do the trick? And if Easter isn’t your thing – these options would be great for those spring wedding/ shower/ brunch/ birthday invites. Or, since all are at less than $100 you can pick one up simply to celebrate the return of bare legs. I’m torn between the all out femme of this one or the simplicity of this one.
