INTRODUCING: LESOUQUE

The Steele Maiden: Top Picks and Early Access to Lesouque

One of my favorite things about traveling is the chance to pick up special items that are native to the places I’m visiting, things that were made by the very people who live there or one-of-a-kind treasures that I know no one else will have. The problem, of course, is that a far-flung vacation doesn’t happen every day. Enter Lesouque. A carefully curated boutique that’s launching mid-June and will be bringing you unique housewares, accessories and more, all made by independent designers across the world. I’m talking London to Austin, Copenhagen to Mumbai, Paris to Turkey.. and just about everywhere in between. Giving you access to the the things that you won’t find anywhere else. So when Lesouque offered me the first look at their goods I couldn’t wait to share (and admittedly I already grabbed that Turkish towel pictured above – handmade in Instanbul! – and does multi-duty as a picnic blanket, beach towel, scarf, blanket… options are kind of endless). For your own chance to be the first to grab some of these special items sign up through the link below. Since lot’s of these are one-of-a-kind you don’t want to miss it!

WHITE LACE TOP AND BOYFRIEND JEANS

The Steele Maiden: white lace top, boyfriend jeans and Sole Society sandals

“Edit your life frequently and ruthlessly. It’s your masterpiece, after all.” – Nathan W. Morris  I came across that quote over the weekend and it’s really stuck with me. Whether it’s my life or my wardrobe, I’ve felt more compelled than ever to edit out the mediocre and save room only for what feels truly important.

WHAT TO PACK: BEACH WEEKEND GETAWAY

The Steele Maiden: What to pack for a weekend beach getaway

If you’ve dropped by already this week than you already know I spent the weekend soaking up the sun at the beach, but I wanted to give you the play by play on exactly what I had in my travel bag. We were there just shy of 48 hours but managed to fit in everything from bike riding to relaxing on the beach to a Saturday dinner date.  Which meant everything I packed needed to be super versatile. I wore this striped chambray top for the car ride and also out to breakfast Sunday morning and this cute cotton romper went from a beach cover-up to happy hour with the addition of heels and a swipe of lipstick. And most importantly – it is the beach after all! – I packed a cute high-waisted swimsuit (seen up close here) which I custom designed on the Surania site (you pick your own colors, prints, and cuts and the sizing is really personalized for a perfect fit).

p.s. If you love those striped slide-on flats from Restricted as much as I do – you can get 25% off sitewide with code STEELE25 in the month of June!
