Next week I’m hosting a little pumpkin carving/decorating party so I’ve been gathering some inspiration to prepare.  While I probably won’t pull off anything as elaborate as above (that mini terranium is nothing short of amazing), the starburst design and sequin-ed one sum up the general feel I’ll be shooting for.  I’ll be sure to post pictures of the finished products next week, and until then – Happy Friday!

(p.s. planning on making these pumpkin spice rice krispie treats for the event)

Ever since I saw the home office of Tiffany Richey featured on La Dolce Vita it’s remained in the back of my mind.  It crosses off all of the requirements for my ideal home office: neutral enough to not be distracting, warm and inviting textures, sleek enough to be taken seriously, and with small details that count.  And until I can have my dream space, I’ll totally settle for dressing the part: with a simple play of materials and animal prints add ons.  Total recipe for success if you ask me.

Ever since seeing the gilded bash hosted by Rue Magazine for their 2nd anniversary I’ve been craving a little piece of the prize for myself (what else calls to mind winning quite like this carat-ed color?).  While the baroque trend is big for this fall, I like my golds when paired with things a bit simpler.  Picture the above flashy oxfords with a simple t-shirt dress, or those amazing jacquard shorts with just a basic chambray shirt?  Take it from Kate Spade (and the necklace shown above), you’ll be as good as gold.

(1. mango clutch; 2. kate spade necklace; 3. red by valentino shorts)
(4. bass oxfords; 5. free people nail polishes)
