I’m not big into shiny, flashy jewelry or even things with sequins or sparkles – but there’s something about the gleen of a gold shoe that has got a hold of me. I think it’s the fact that they kind of speak for themselves. Just think of throwing on a pair of skinny jeans and a cable knit sweater.. and then finishing it off with one of these golden beauties? Showstopping. They’re like the ultimate It-girl finishing touch. Oh, these shoes that look like they were dipped in 24K gold? This time next week I’ll be New York bound for the Lucky FABB conference (!!!) and while I don’t think my style has changed drastically since I lived in the city, there are definitely things to consider for my return. Weather for starters, and also the amount that I’ll inevitably end up walking. As I’ve been searching for packing inspiration, I came across this girl who totally nails the city street chic look that I hope to achieve – practical accessories, a simple color palette and at least one standout piece – in her case these printed trousers. Perfect for a day keeping up with the pace of my favorite place.
