It seems this time of year I’m always rushing out of work straight to a holiday party, dinner with Adam, drinks with friends or some other festivities. Which is why planning an outfit that can take me from office to eggnog is crucial. From 9-5 a cashmere sweater, tailored trousers and nude heels means business… but sometime after 6PM? Just call these my party pants.
SHOP THE STORY
The trick here is sticking to a fairly neutral color scheme (you can’t go wrong with navy and camel) and tailored silhouette (like an ankle length trouser and this oversized coat) that doesn’t feel out of place in an office. And then finding elements of surprise to make it fun for after hours – see here the metallic flash that peeks out from under the navy lace, or a rose gold belt that adds shape to this cashmere sweater. Grab an oversized clutch, throw on a swipe of lipstick and you’ll be saying pass the bubbly in no time. And hopefully forget all about that inbox.

Lovely outfit!! I love the middle seam on your cashmere sweater! I just bought the pants since they’re on sale. I figure they’re good for NYE :-)) Cheers & best to you! I’m very happy to have just followed you on Facebook. –Josie
