I’ve been waiting all week to share these blissful beach pictures with you all! I’m thrilled to have teamed up with Aerie again (the results of our collaboration last winter here) – this time to show you the secrets behind great beach style. Hint: choose pieces that are both comfortable and cute.. and a little bit of confidence goes a long way.
What I love most about the Aerie brand (besides their insanely cute selection, naturally) is that their #aeriereal motto means zero retouching. As a full time Graphic Designer who spends a solid 8-10 hours a day in Photoshop I can tell you that the images you see on a daily basis have had some serious work done to them. But over at Aerie? You see those birthmarks, freckles, scars and every other lovely little thing that makes us unique. Meaning when it came time to share these photos of myself I figured I was in good company! I am a tried and true bikini girl but when their stylist suggested this floral one-piece (with the coolest lace up back) I jumped at the chance to try something new. For a cover-up I went with these breezy shorts and sweater tank (which can easily be dressed up for a night out too!), and finished things off with a straw hat and sunglasses – because sunburn is the one flaw I don’t want to be sharing with you all.
