While life in the city typically means heels on the go, life at the lake calls for shoes that feel more laid back and comfortable. Shoes that I can kick my feet up in or toss off into the boat. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want them to still be cute. Which is wear Sebago comes in. I actually first wore the brand last summer at the lake (in this post) and fell in love with their easy going attitude and comfy fit. So this summer, I knew I wanted to stock my lake wardrobe with a few more pairs. Here – exactly where my Sebagos take me when I escape the city hustle for some peace and quiet by the lake.
Golden hour (that last bright hour before the sun really starts to set) is one of my favorite times of day at the lake. Most of the boats are off the water since it’s dinner time and we can grab a seat down on the docks down by ‘the point’ and watch the sun slowly start to fade. A classic pair of boat shoes couldn’t be more fitting to throw on with an easy pair of jeans and a tank top, especially when they’re in my signature blue and white stripes. Plus, a pair like these never goes out of style which means I’ll be wearing these for many summers to come.

While typically our time at the lake is spent, well, at the lake – every once in awhile Adam and I will head into one of the nearby towns to explore. This particular afternoon we decided to pack a picnic lunch and head to neighboring Lake Ariel. These pink suede penny loafers make any outfit feel a little bit more special but are as comfortable as slippers for walking round. While I paired them with a white eyelet dress now, they’ll work great with jeans and cozy sweaters in the Fall too.

Most often when we’re at the lake though, I’m parked right on the dock. Up early to soak up the sun, get in some quiet reading time and take a dip in the water before we head out on the boat for the day. I’ve never been a big fan of flip-flops, but needed something that could easily slip on and off, were lightweight enough to toss in my straw bag and could get wet. These leather sandals fit the bill perfectly and after wearing them so much over just their first weekend at the lake, I’ve already been considering picking up another pair in black or navy. Plus a pair or two of Sebagos for Adam to wear while we’re there!

With a pair fit for any summer adventure – I think the only question left is where will your Sebagos take you?
