In a fantasy life, I live at the beach and take long walks every morning collecting seashells. In my fantasy life I am not the type of person that feels compelled to work 7 days a week. In my fantasy life, I’m apparently a retiree. Until then? This pretty little beaded seashell t-shirt and boyfriend jeans make me pretty relaxed. And I can settle for that.

On Sunday, we drove out to Rockaway Beach for the first time this summer and spent a picture perfect day on the sand (evidenced here). By the evening I was already missing it, so I changed into this embellished t-shirt and perfectly faded, relaxed fit jeans and we headed to a pier on the Upper West Side so that I could still be beside the water and watch the sunset. That’s the great thing about Manhattan – even though you’re smack dab in the midst of one of the busiest cities in the world, there are all of these beautiful escapes. You just have to know where to look. Maybe retirement can wait a few more years after all.
