SUMMER STYLING TIP: GRAPHIC TEE AND EYELET SKIRT

There’s something about the change of seasons that just makes your whole wardrobe feel new again. Since summer has been slowwww to reach us here in NYC, Charleston provided the perfect opportunity to break out some of my favorite pieces and style them in a new way.

I’ve had this eyelet midi skirt for a few summers and these white ankle strap sandals since last year, and I wear both a ton in the warmer months. But they didn’t necessarily feel exciting when I pulled them back out this year, you know? Classic yes, but shiny and new? No. So I decided to give them a little refresh by pairing them with this bright and bold graphic tee, big pearl earrings and a new basket bag (made even newer by wrapping a handkerchief around the handle). Since the skirt is slightly transparent, I quickly realized that tucking the t-shirt in wouldn’t work. But leaving it untucked felt kind of frumpy. The solution? Knotting it in the front at the last minute. Turns out – everything can feel new again if you look at it with new eyes.
