Summer always seems to be one of the busiest times of year for me. Between hectic long work days (we work long hours Monday-Thursday and have off for Summer Fridays at my office) and heading out of town many weekends, I want clothes that I don’t have to think too much about and work just as well in the city as they would at the lake. This outfit checks all the boxes.

I first wore this denim midi skirt back in the Spring here and have worn it nearly once a week ever since. It goes with any top or shoes and can be dressed up for the office with a nice blazer and heels or worn around town on the weekends with this linen off the shoulder top (another favorite of mine this season) and flat sandals. These in particular have stretchy straps and are SO comfortable. New York has had a few really humid days lately so this outfit is perfect for looking slightly put together without actually sweating over what to wear. Literally.
In other news, Adam and I both came down with that summer cold and cough that’s been going around so I’m running on very little sleep and holding on for dear life until Friday. Send me your ‘get over a cold quick’ tips if you’ve got ’em!
