On Saturday, Adam and I celebrated my 30th birthday, and our first night in Charleston, by getting dressed up and heading out for dinner and drinks. I’ll be sharing all of our stops along the unofficial food and drink tour we indulged in on during our trip, but for now let’s focus on the outfit. This pink ruffle wrap dress made me feel like a cupcake as soon as I tried it on.. so what better time to wear it than my birthday?

Since the dress itself is pretty over the top feminine, I kept everything else grounded with simple yet striking black accessories. Lightweight tassel earrings, a straw bag, and lace-up block heels. Just the kind of easy formula to follow for your next date night. Which should be fit in as frequently as possible now that it’s warm because dressing for nights out in the winter is nowhere near as fun. Between the outfit, the meal and the company.. it’s safe to say I’m going to remember this particular night for a long time to come.
