To note: it is still not Spring. But on just the right day, when the wind dies down and you catch a sidewalk bathing in sunshine.. you can slip off your Winter coat and pretend for a second. It helps if you are wearing a pretty floral embroidered shirt that tricks you into believing May flowers are about to bloom.

I’ll be wearing this shirt with everything from crisp pencil skirts at the office to high waisted jean shorts come actual warm weather. However, in the meantime I dressed it down with a lightweight utility jacket, my favorite boyfriend jeans, easy ankle boots and a tassel crossbody bag. These are all standards in my wardrobe (see all of my top 20 closet classics here) so it’s nice to find just one piece like this floral embroidered shirt that makes them feel new again.
