On Sunday, Adam and I took advantage of a rare day without plans and took a drive out of the city. We ended up in the town of Warwick, New York after stopping at a nearby pumpkin patch/apple orchard – because apple cider donuts.. obviously. It feels like the trees have barely changed here in the city, so it was fun to see the all out explosion of color happening just an hour north of us. I picked up these boyfriend jeans (or ‘Mom jeans’ as Adam lovingly calls them..) earlier in the weekend and paired them with these slip-on ankle boots and cable knit turtleneck sweater that I got for our trip to Maine.
SHOP THE STORY
As you undoubtedly have noticed, I wear a lot of skirts and dresses. But it feels good to have a stock of really comfortable jeans and boots on hand for when you don’t want to be so dressed up. For stomping through crunchy leaves, jumping in and out of the car, or wandering through a pumpkin patch as it were. Plus – it was fairly easy to justify a purchase of new jeans when these are different than any other pair I have and were also under $50. They’re good for weekend adventures but just as good for cozying up on the couch. Which after a very busy start to the week is exactlyyyy what I’ll be doing tonight.
