Since Spring is still giving New York the cold shoulder, I decided to respond in kind this past weekend with this silky little Ramy Brook tunic dress. Sure, I had to pair it with jeans – and a not pictured coat – but it had been burning a hole in my closet ever since I picked it up at the Ramy Brook showroom last week.. so you know, practically an eternity.

If you haven’t heard, shoulders are the ‘it’ zone of the season with practically every top and dress baring some form of shoulder blades, upper arms or clavicle, and I am totally loving the trend. For one, I think it walks that fine (sexy) line of showing a little skin but not too much or in a too obvious or immodest way. And two, because just a hint of skin is all I can bear to bare in these temps. And if you’re looking for the queen of the slinky, shoulder accentuating, effortlessly flirty dress.. look no further than Ramy Brook. She’s a new to me designer that I’ve been obsessing over since checking out her Fall/Winter line. This dress is feather-weight, looks even better with a few wrinkles, can be worn as shown here (with the elastic waist up high so it becomes a tunic), or pulled down across your hips to be a party ready mini-dress or hell, even thrown over a bathing suit. Basically no matter where you’re traveling to this spring/summer, one of her tops or dresses should be stowed in your carry on. You can thank us later.
