As someone who leaves the house at precisely 8:45 AM and many days don’t get back until damn near 8:45PM, I’m always looking for pieces that can work overtime. Lately, I’ve been applying that same mindset to my beauty/hair routine – trying to find products and styles that are quick but still look polished after a long day running around the city. This new denim dress and the looped low ponytail I managed last week are both perfect examples.
SHOP THE STORY:
The denim dress just begs to be worn over an easy t-shirt with sandals this summer, but it looked just a bit more pulled together once I belted it and paired with a mock-neck turtleneck. And I finished things off by a grown-up take on the ‘topsy tail’ (AKA that hairstyle you used to wear in the 3rd grade) that takes 10 minutes flat – just loosely wave hair with a curling wand, pull back into a low ponytail, separate hair just above the elastic tie and flip ponytail through the opening. Let a few loose strands fall to frame your face, plus a pair of oversized sunglasses and ta da! And I’m off.
