Yesterday, Adam and I woke up to blue skies and October-like temperatures and we decided to jump in the car, escape the city and go for a Sunday drive. Since we didn’t have anywhere in particular to go we decided on a Christmas tree farm about an hour upstate. With room to roam, we spent the morning searching for the perfect tree.

SHOP THE STORY (HIM):
I’ve gotten so much wear this Fall out of all these classic pieces – a plaid A-line skirt, cognac leather over the knee boots, denim jacket and burgundy v-neck sweater – and recently added this camel jacket that I know is going to get an equal amount of wear. I made the look feel a bit more winter-ready (just add tights when the temps actually drop!) with this fun oversized pom beanie. And since Adam has a pretty ‘stick to the classics’ mantra when it comes to his wardrobe too, we often find ourselves coordinating. I like the way he subtly mixed prints here, adding a plaid button down shirt under a striped sweater. Back to the city (and the reality of Monday) today.. but at least I’ve still got Adam by my side.
