On Saturday as we drove back to the city from the lake house there was a moment at a stoplight in which Adam and I looked at each other and we realized we were smack dab in the middle of the most picturesque small town… and since Adam is always scouting his next picture and I’m always chasing cute stoops/houses this place was pretty much a Fall dream. So promptly, the car was pulled over and we went for a wander.

I wore this riding pant and boot combo a lot on our recent travels – it’s super comfortable but still pulled together – usually just with a simple t-shirt, but it works just as well dressed up with a printed blouse and cardigan. I’m also loving these marigold/brown/cognac hues mixed together for an unexpected take on Fall color combos (most of the time it’s all about burgundy, navy and olive – as seen here). Topped it all off with a wool hat and this quilted denim coat (bought last Winter and now on sale!). If you need me, I’ll be daydreaming about these tree lined streets.
