It’s official as of today.. Fall is here. And if you’ve never experienced it – take my word when I say that there is nothing quite like Autumn in New York City. To kick off one of my favorite times of year here, I teamed up with Talbots to share three places to visit in NYC this season plus my favorite pieces from their Fall collection!
SHOP THE STORY
Up first is The High Line – a stretch of old elevated railway that was renovated a few years back into a unique park. Stretching from the Meatpacking District through Chelsea it offers both sweeping city and Hudson River views. Since this spot happens to be just across town from our apartment, Adam and I find ourselves on The High Line often, but early Fall mornings are my absolute favorite. I suggest grabbing a coffee and going early to avoid the crowds. Watching the city come alive from a bird’s eye view is something worth missing a few hours of sleep for.
Even though it’s technically a park, The High Line definitely still has a cool, city vibe so I chose a look that felt comfortable enough for a stroll but still sleek enough to work for a morning meeting, lunch date or anywhere else the city may take me. These black ponte knit riding pants are definitely going to be new staples in my wardrobe, they have a flattering fit and the slightly cropped ankle length would work with heels, tall boots or flats for Fall. Another favorite for the new season are bringing in touches of deep saturated color, like this soft merino wool sweater, and luxe accessories like this oversized plaid scarf, wool hat and quilted cabernet-hued bag.
Come back tomorrow to see our next stop on the NYC in Autumn tour and more of my favorites from Talbot’s Fall collection!
