I’ve been sharing quite a bit of casual, weekend style these days on the blog. And while I like to fantasize that this blog could be my full time gig, the reality is that if you catch me midweek I’m much more likely to be dressed like this and on my way to the office than like this and on my way to Central Park.

And don’t even get me started on the whole hot and humid outside, freezing A/C inside, situation you’ve got to try to dress for. These breezy wide leg pants from Talbots have been total lifesavers (first worn here) and with a bold, solid colored top they make for an easy, but still pulled together office look for Summer. I’m more often than not a heels girl, but these slip-on striped flats are a fun pattern play against the pants and admittedly make the commute (a 20-ish minute crosstown walk) a whole lot more comfortable.
