I grew up a few hours from the Poconos Mountains and had always gone in winter to ski, but had never visited during the Summer until meeting Adam. His family has a cabin on Lake Wallenpaupack there and we are lucky enough to spend plenty of Summer weekends there now. For those in the New York area, it’s just a 2+ hour drive (car or bus are the easiest ways to get there) and a blissful escape from the city.
SHOP THE STORY
I keep things pretty casual when I’m there, and this white on white look felt perfectly fitting for a walk along the docks at dusk. Accessories were minimal and functional – wide brim hat to hold back wind-whipped hair from the boat, sandals that are easy to toss on and off, and a raffia tote for the essentials. Ultimate relaxation vibes out there. But truth be told, 3 days away and I couldn’t wait to get back to our tiny apartment and the chaos of this big city today.
