I’ve been talking this week about what I pack and how I dress for a weekend city getaway, and while I’m all for practicality – I can never resist getting a little dressed up for a night out on the (new) town.

This look in particular look was based around this silky floral dress and ankle-strap block heels. Both of which are from online retailer Boohoo, who always nail it when it comes to affordable on-trend dresses (the last time I wore one of their numbers here). And while usually this time of year I’m reaching for a straw fedora, this black wide brim hat gave the look a little edge. And finally this white denim jacket which is quickly becoming one of the most important pieces in my closet. I like a night out look that keeps ’em guessing.
