After several beautiful Spring days here in New York, I have zero weather complaints. Even if it means a rainy day here and there. All the better to test out this new waterproof jacket with a cute striped lining, I say! My hair.. on the other hand.. has a different opinion about the rain.

I wore this slightly nautical look (stripes with a side of red, white and blue), for our trip to the Museum of the Moving Image last weekend (which in turn inspired yesterday’s look.. it’s all one big cycle really). I mainly wanted to feel comfortable – hence the denim, sneakers and backpack, but also figured it was a perfect excuse to try out my new rain jacket from Joules (the cheery British brand behind these beloved rain boots of mine). And as luck would have it, we accidentally left our umbrella on the train so this hooded waterproof number really got put to the test. And passed with flying colors.
