Most recently, for dinner and a drink at a favorite neighborhood spot, this meant my go to chambray shirt made a bit more fancy by pairing with a swingy little pleated skirt (last seen here), plus a bright red lip balanced with my natural air dried hair. And, because it wouldn’t be me without one standout piece – these statement heels. A balancing act in their own right with the type of geo print seen everywhere this Fall (but often on casual sweaters or leggings) dressed up in shiny satin, a high heel, and sleek pointed toe. Here they were just enough to pull the whole look together – but I can’t wait to throw these on with another print or more color next time.

For date nights I try to strike a balance between the casualness of Southern California and my own desire to get dressed up…
Always love a chambray shirt, and have to say – those printed heels are fantastic!
Thanks Rebecca! I wear that chambray shirt so often I’m afraid it will fall apart on me someday – and these shoes may be my new favorite pair <3
