After a week of browsing through the Fall Runways in New York, weather that felt like both summer and winter in Los Angeles, and scouting late Summer/Fall trends at the WWD Magic trade show in Las Vegas, it’s safe to say I’m a bit seasonally confused…
But I find the best way to cut through the clouds of fashion is to pull out emerging trends. And one of my favorites from the Fall 2013 Runways at NYFW is jeweled jackets. From Kate Spade to J.Crew to Theysken’s Theory – these embellished toppers were found paired with otherwise classic looks. From evenly placed studs to a highlighted collar to all over shine, these jackets would be perfect for evening looks but also so great to dress up jeans and a tee for an unexpected day look. And, I can’t be alone in thinking… possible DIY for an old jacket lying around? That J.Crew collar is calling my name.
