THE #ArtOfFun WITH DONALD J PLINER SHOES

The Steele Maiden: Art of Fun - Donald J Pliner Shoes for Spring

To me, having fun means you’re not trying too hard and just living in the moment. Fun is carefree and easy and doesn’t complicate things. It’s wearing a show-stopping pair of shoes out to get $6 dumplings in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.. just for the hell of it. I like fun. So when Donald J Pliner asked me to be a part of their Spring campaign – aptly titled #ArtofFun – I certainly didn’t have to overthink it.

Shoes are easily the most fun part of my wardrobe. They’re the exclamation point on an outfit! I can be wearing the simplest jeans and t-shirt or a neutral sweater and skirt (as seen here), but throw on a pair of awesome shoes and you’ve got that instant fun factor. Now that I think about it… fun is confident too. Fun isn’t afraid to go out and grab life by the reigns you know?

So I grabbed these heels (swooning over the floral cutouts & metallic accents – they’re like a garden party for your feet!) and hit the streets. Sure, they were fancier than the rest of my outfit and most certainly fancier than anything anyone else was wearing at our favorite East Village dumpling joint last weekend. But that’s entirely the fun of it.
