THE LITTLE RED LIGHTHOUSE

White embroidered maxi dress and platform sandals at The Little Red Lighthouse, NYC

Just when you think you’ve seen it all in this city (and trust me.. I’ve seen some things), Manhattan goes and blows you away all over again. This weekend, 166 blocks north of our apartment (plus 18 subway stops and about a mile hike later) we tracked down the last standing lighthouse in the city. And it was well worth the trek.

SHOP THE STORY

I apologize in advance for all the photos with this post.. but can you blame me? We got there in the last hour of light on Saturday evening and Adam captured a little piece of Summer magic. It was a hot one so I debuted this gauzy embroidered white maxi dress (under $50!) which is slightly more boho than my usual style but it felt just right for the trip.

p.s. If you’re in Manhattan and looking to visit The Little Red Lighthouse – take the 1 train to 181st and Broadway then a 15-20 minute walk down to Riverside Park underneath the George Washington Bridge. Pack a picnic and stay for the sunset!

  1. Adam did such a great job with these pictures and I love your dress! This little lighthouse is one of the only reasons I miss living uptown….it was always such a nice spot for waking and picnicking!

    1. Thanks lady! I can’t believe I’d never even heard of this spot before – such a pretty place <3
