There are signs of Spring popping up everywhere in the city, and last Saturday I took the chance to collect a few warm weather tokens from the Union Square Farmer’s Market and store them in a bag that’s equally ready for the season.

This raffia tote bag is from swoon-worthy accessory brand, Elaine Turner (if you haven’t heard of her collection of affordable luxury goods you’re going to want to check them out asap, and if you’re in New York you’re definitely going to want to pop uptown to her Madison Ave. boutique – extra points for the major interior design envy it induces). And besides the fact that it looks good, a bag like this is perfect for my Saturday trips to Union Square which involves picking up some fresh produce and blooms at the Farmer’s Market then wandering to near-by Strand Bookstore (this time I picked up ‘Never Can Say Goodbye‘). Books, blooms, a pouch with my wallet, phone and other essentials, my trusty denim jacket.. this bag can hold it all. What do you fill your bag with on the weekends?
